Let's not overlook the obvious: there's probably somebody out there who doesn't own this album. And should. If you've been looking at used record albums for several decades, you've seen a LOT of Hotel California's. People loved that album, and every person on the planet who bought records owned it. For good enough reason-it's a blockbuster album. It just so happens that yours truly does NOT own it but that's for reasons beyond our scope here, it can be a mystery. Anyway, without even researching it, there are 270 varieties of the album listed at Discogs (although that does include cassettes and CDs and such). There are probably not many thrift stores which don't shelve multiple copies (I'm not sure because I don't crawl them). Anyway, this copy we've got for sale is a nice original 1976, plays reasonably nice with others but has a nasty defect, that being the cover. It's one of those things: some people don't care a lot about cover condition, and LOTS of people have come along, new to record collecting since 1976. So, here's a $4.00 original Hotel California that somebody out there wants.
